But that doesn't describe much of their performances during qualifying, their match vs Germany was a delight to watch for example.

How they are performing this tournament vs qualifying reminds me of the difference last season between Everton's league and Europa/2013 form.

Standard of oppo in qualifying wasn't as high though.

The one highlight is undoubtedly the bang averageness of Danny Ings.

He showed that at Burnley anyway, really don't understand why they signed him I would rather have the likes of Borini and Lambert.

But we did play germany and Portugal the two favourites, admittedly in friendlies, and did well. Also Croatia in the playoffs wasn't a pushover team.

Midfield has been consistently weak all three games despite several different players in it. Hope he tries Loftus Cheek tbh.

Chalobah has been dreadful all tournament and the problem is you don't get a chance to play your way into these games u got to hit the ground running. Here's Loftus Cheek now LL, Gareth must have heard you

I'd proper buzz off anyone who genuinely thought Stones was crap. I've seen plenty of Ings, and have concluded he's crap. I've seen less of Redmond but every time I have seen him he's been tripe
