I'm not pretending anything, its so black and white for some posters who can only see one side of the story.

Business isn't full of angels, you usually don't get to be a club owner by being highly moral and above board. If the insurer won't pay its usually for a reason like he wasn't actually registered (the premier league refused it) this isn't a small detail.

It and other grievances need to be tested properly and not take a blind bit of notice from the often ill informed noise on social media.

Look at our owners links to Usmanov etc, not many would have all their dirty washing scrutinised and come out smelling of roses.

Let the people qualified to do so, judge.

I think many people’s problem , and I’m uncomfortable with it , is the faux grief and he’s one of us carry on from Cardiff then this . If there is a legal basis then fine but it doesn’t mean it doesn’t leave a nasty taste .

As regards McKay I think it’s obvious to anybody what he is and if the deal is bent I wouldn’t be remotely surprised. I do have a difficulty having sympathy on that point in that Cardiff dealt willingly with him and this is the same club that signed his son who it seems is hardly a top class footballer . That could indicate to some that the club or people within in were trying to establish a relationship with McKay in fact in does a lot more to me than indicate . To me the expression if you lay down with dogs you get fleas springs to mind . Now that’s not to say that if there is legal precedent to suggest they’re enritled to follow a course of conduct that they shouldn’t but I find it hard to believe they’re surprised by what McKay is to me I’d suggest they’re better qualified than most to know .

Behind the scenes most teams would of got their lawyers involved to get out of paying.
If real Madrid bought someone for 100m they would be doing the exact same thing.

People contest wills in court to get a higher share of inheritance money.

It's not nice to hear but it's true

Reading the Guardian's report on this yesterday, and there does seem to be some argument that he hadn't actually signed and there was plenty in the contract to indicate this. It seems rather harsh on Nantes, but Cardiff may not have had him on their books.

Having said all that, two men are dead, and my sympathies lie with their family and friends and for their sakes, I hope this is all resolved quickly and fairly.

Yes you can see Cardiff like a whole multitude of other clubs, do business using highly unscrupulous characters, they possibly feel they have to if it's to their advantage.

Signing for Cardiff isn't usually a particularly attractive proposition for a foreign player, in fact exactly the opposite for the most part, and perhaps to attract any much needed new signings Cardiff and others are forced to look at every means.

I'm not naive enough to think that they don't cut corners or do dubious deals with highly unwise risks that might make bigger clubs baulk. It must be far harder at the lower reaches of the league to get your man in, whatever risks you take.

They probably are culpable, at least in part, and maybe far more than that too, but with such a transfer fee they wouldn't be on business if they just paid out without arbitration.

Culpability has to be decided, even if it all ends in a compromise of sorts

The Court of Social media is usually quick to judge and often wrong.

Apparently he had been due to fly back at 9am but the flight was postponed until 7pm local time so Sala could say goodbye to his Nantes teammates

The controversial agent McKay who had been trying to sell the Nantes player had arranged the flight, apparently funding the cost, although he maintains not the pilot.

Cardiff are incensed as these are the details that stop insurers paying out, this and other non-registration factors need to come out.

Reflex reactions and blaming Cardiff for everything are just so wide off the mark.
