He has never designed anything on account of not having any relevant qualifications. At best, he'll come up with a concept and then thrash a load of engineers to make it happen. I'll concede he seems to know a lot about investing generational wealth and removing workers rights to get things done.

I honestly don't believe so. He is very much in that modern social media-age mould of believing that just because he knows a lot about one or two things, he knows everything about everything. And tbh, while he's defo smart, I think he's mostly just a successful salesman at the end of it all

As one of the richest men in the world with widespread influence, why not use that soft power to get people in a room using your plan as a basis for negotiation?

He pontificates on a vast number of subjects that he clearly has done not even a basic level of education on, this geo-political conflict that he has simplified to an 180 character solution is a prime example of ego overtaking understanding. I've no doubt he has a high level of intelligence in very restricted areas, but he also displays the narcissim to believe that intelligence can give him understanding of subjects that take years of experience and research to understand. One of the problems with right wing populsim (an area he now firmly belongs to) is that to project their ill thought out views they have to discredit experts in the subject so that their facebook status style analysis can seem credible. It's a dangerous road to take their slavish fans on and you are giving unintentional insight into.

He's a particularly nasty piece of work and to treat a factory owner as a deity is a new level of weird.
