It feels like what someone put on here yesterday - the right, like yourself, have been told that the lefts policies were somehow evil and demonic and you all now believe that to be true. The same way you all hate vegans, clean energy, trans people, immigrants - why are they so bad? What about peoples rights?

So, other than open borders it’s equality and saving the planet you take issue with?
 
It’s quite instructive to see how every policy is seen by the right as a part of “the woke leftist agenda”, and how conspiratorial thinking is baked in their worldview. So climate change, is part of the same agenda as bathrooms for Trans folk.

The example of the BLM movement in 2020 as part of the leftist agenda is interesting. I saw it as people reacting strongly to an event - the killing of George Floyd - and it then gathering legs and a bit of mob mentality kicking in.

Maybe the left should have the same conspiratorial outlook, and the Southport riots were really the ‘racist right agenda’ to kill Asylum Seekers in their beds.

And that is part of the same agenda as getting workers back in the office, which is also part of the agenda of allowing tiktok to continue to operate.

Yeah, he did one during a Israel/Palestine protest wearing a stormtrooper helmet and bullhorn saying "THE EMPIRE DID NO WRONG, THE REBELS ATTACKED FIRST AT THIS PLANET!" and the Israeli people were freaking out. Eventually he had a young Hasidic Jewish lad interview him and he gave his reasoning for the Star Wars thing, then the kid, clearly confused, 'well...what's your take on Israel / Palestine?" "That? eh, no real opinion". Was really funny actually.

On my end, as a Seppo, I think some of these rights need to be modified. Kids see this and think it's "edgelord" or whatever. This is hugely dangerous to normalize. Guarantee if he does this again there are a lot of people in the crowd doing it with him. And that's how we get the whole "well, first they came for the immigrants and I said nothing" scenario.

As an American, can you explain to me a few things:

Why are Americans so anti immigrants when, as a relatively young nation, you've been entirely founded on Immigration. The boom of which was around 100 years ago.

Why are some America's terrified of with LGBTQ people when you have lots of very angry people with legal gun ownership?

Why are you so against government overreach but are happy to accept Trump welding lots of executive power through executive orders?
