It’s incredible that this is about somebody who will be part of the president’s inner circle and assisting with government. Beefing about computer game exploits on the internet is peak teenage basement dweller behaviour. Almost as pathetic as fabricating your achievements on a computer game in the first place.

The funny thing, though, is that it is putting his grifting, populist rhetoric on show. Whereas normally most people might see his fabricated nonsense about politics and current affairs and not know truly whether he is spouting lies or not, lying about a game that is certainly within the realm of an average gamer's expertise, and easily disproved and mocked by thousands of people, will perhaps make them stop to think "what else might he be lying about?"
