I've meant to read it but never got round to it.
Isnt the basic premise that nations will be a thing of the past and everything will be down to the individual?
I'd heard Thiel talk about it before and that put me off.
I'll give it a read (or listen if theres an audio version)

Yes. It's a book the tech bros and silicon valley follow - certainly worth a read. Picks up from Tofflers earlier work and forecasts.

It suggests radical societal changes driven by the information revolution. It predicts the decline of the nation-state as tech liberates individuals from government control, creating a world where success is driven by the individual. Especially nice if said individuals are billionaires.

The book argues that this new age will be dominated by "Sovereign Individuals," whose wealth and freedom will enable them to operate beyond the reach of traditional governance, relying on cyberspace as a tax-free, regulation-free domain (AI, crypto, social media etc). The book takes a position that governments are basically organised crime, predicting that politiciabs will struggle to retain power as tax revenues decline and services are privatised.

Typical with rich mens planning the privileged thrive, the poor left-behind populations becoming increasingly patriotic and violent, leading to social unrest and the fragmentation of nations (the west, Brexit, MAGA, Reform/Robinson, AfD, Putin etc).

It is a deeply libertarian manifesto that challenges traditional notions of democracy, welfare, and collective responsibility and nation states.

So Space Karen has repeatedly said in interviews that he believes himself to be one of the best video game players in the world.
This was somewhat discredited after he posted his Elden Ring character build on Twitter a couple of years ago and it was clear he had no idea what he was doing.

Recently, a game called Path Of Exile 2 released, Elon has claimed that his character is in the world top 10 ranked hardcore league . Making him one of the best players of POE2 in the world.

Given that the top ranked players need to sink around 20 hours PER DAY (!!!) into the game to stay in the top ranked positions, this seems unlikely.

Don’t take my word for it though. Here’s someone who actually plays the game breaking down why he is lying.

I know this is petty as hell, but this is so funny to me, that he is so insecure and desperate for people to like him that he’s paying people to play a video game for him so he can take credit

TBF the best gamers in the world don’t play PoE or Diablo 4, they play EVE.
