This is precisely why the 'value' of twitter is more than just a number.

@catcherintherye I think this is something you should consider -- the amount of influence you can gain from a social media platform is immense.

I dont want this to be a narrative but when Kamala Harris stated X should be treated like Facebook -- and we know the US government banned Facebook from posting negative comments about Hunter Biden and much more-- allowing the US Government influence...

...the stakes of free speech have been escalated by Musk instead of been bent by the US Democrat party and Zuckerburg.

It's like owning a newspaper isn't it?

Elon Musk has also restricted a lot of free speech too. Including criticism of himself mind.

My point more though, is it I was a shareholder, I'd want him to be putting my capital to best use by growing it. I wouldn't want him pursuing political/social goals. But that's my view. It's why I was happy when Meta scales back the metaverse.

If you were a shareholder then would you not be 'in the room' and so have 'access' ?

I think if i was an investor of significant size it would purely be for access.
