I ditched twitter about 5 years ago - got fed up of the constant notifications about the trivialities people said (and I thought I'd selected interesting people to follow).

Re-engaged it a week or so ago to TRY and get through to British Gas*. Twitter has got worse - was even getting alerts about people I'd never heard of about things I have zero interest in. Uninstalled the app. Genuinely amazed its still a thing.

*they responded by suggesting I phoned the same number that had driven me in desperation to try twitter ffs!
