As I think I said the other day, hes the sort of fraud that gets thrown up in a bull market. Cheap capital, low interest rates and massive over valuation have covered for his lack of business sense.

The brand damage hes doing though, will of course take out one of his lifeboats.

Someone might take it on in a distressed sale type of mode, but for pennies on the 40bn pound he paid.

Would cost nothing, relatively speaking. Like it would have cost Mark Zuckerberg nothing to roll out a new messaging app with facebook (think he said they could have written it in an afternoon) but he paid 16 billion for whatsapp.

Point is you've got 450 million active users on twitter each month and these fatsos are hard to shift. As you can see on this thread right here - they love it and are hopelessly addicted. How would you lure them away?

Not that twitter is some bulletproof digital edifice that must endure - it's time will come. But the business was in trouble long before Elon Musk ever showed up, and what we're seeing now is symptomatic of that. If it was plain sailing running twitter in the short to medium term then one of the companies you mention would already own it.
