Thought I read a while ago that he was going to be involved with the first team squad this summer. It’s interesting that some of his U-18 teammates are but he isn’t.

You did,because thats what was reported was suppose to happen,before he almost surely returned to the u23s

...I think in any era a manager gives a player match time if they think they are good enough. Silva won’t hold him back if he thinks the lad is up to being involved, but it’s such a massive step up. He’s not yet had the impact at U23 that he had playing in his own age group which might be an indicator.

Did this lad outscore Brewster and Greenwood? Or were they in the U23? Just wondering if he's the same age group and outscored them, why is he not getting a look in here and they are with the first teams.

He’s an absolute unit for his age group, general assumption seems to be that it’s hard to judge him until he starts playing u23 regularly as he just stomps over everyone at under 18 level.

...the coaches will know, the manager will have an idea from the intensity of training with the first team. Throwing in him might actually have a detrimental effect, but the really special ones are knocking on the door at this lads age.

I don't think so. He wasn't known for playing them often was he?

Maybe we should just buy some as opposed to throwing a young lad in at the deep end and just let him improve his game.

Gave them game time at 11 years old aswell.

Just striker wise we had a spell of getting them on at 16/17 a good few times.
