And Otamendi considerably less so. Which is the point I was making.
Less erratic? He's still a bit up and down, but he has been luckier.

Ander Herrera said it was ‘amazing’ that he was not awarded a late penalty in Sunday’s Manchester derby. Instead he got a yellow card for diving after a challenge by Nicolas Otamendi. Manchester City made it 16 Premier League wins in a row after beating Tottenham 4-1 at the Etihad Stadium. But the scoreline doesn't nearly tell the full story of a match packed with controversial decisions. The first incident came when the score was only 1-0 when Nicolas Otamendi booted Harry Kane straight in the face. Pep Guardiola has hailed defender Nicolas Otamendi as Manchester City's 'Superman'. The Argentinian, who is arguably City's most improved player this season, has proved a key component of the attacking build-up and has also weighed in with five goals in all competitions.
Guardiola's praise for Otamendi comes at a time when City are thought to be considering buying another centre-back in the January transfer window. Otamendi has missed just one Premier League match this season - through suspension - but John Stones and Vincent Kompany have both had injuries, leaving Eliaquim Mangala as the only cover.

Watford should have been awarded a late penalty against Manchester City, that could have set up a grandstand finish. The Hornets pulled a goal back through Andre Gray to make it 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium, before Roberto Pereyra seemed to be taken down by Nicolas Otamendi. Referee Lee Mason waved away Watford's claims, with Abdoulaye Doucoure and Tom Cleverley particularly vocal in their protests and former top referee Dermot Gallagher thinks it was a foul.
