Cant blame Thelwell etc on this one, though I’ve seen a few keen to try. The blame really lies with those higher up. Their dreadful running of the club has meant we can’t slap much of a downpayment down, and we look a completely unappealing prospect after two back to back relegation battles.

From what I can tell, Thelwell, Purdy and Dyche are doing all they can this summer with what little they’ve got. Does feel like it’s been forever since we spent money on an permanent transfer though.

The key is what happens next. Need a striker through the door before the opening game of the season. We cannot afford another Giroud situation.
