I've never seen that before (and if I have I've blocked it out of my mind).

Absolutely disgraceful.
Yet shows once again how far we have fallen under this Board. The crack about the DVD has merit. I am sick of DVDs coming out after a big win every blue moon.
Sure the writing is favoured towards Liverpool, but the underlying message to me is how crap we have become....

I've mentioned Pearce the page before mate and the echo saying they hire journalists and not people who support clubs. Well that article is written by a bitter Kopite bellend pandering to the cult. References Everton fans singing murders and justice for the 39 as disgraceful because of course they aren't allowed to be reminded of this.

The ECHO has published a response to the 'accusations' that they are biased towards Liverpool FC over Everton and regarding their unbalanced coverage.

Read here:

Basically saying it doesn't exist.

Question.

Would you buy the ECHO?

To gauge sentiment amongst members.

We need to maintain the scrutiny and pressure. What they've done in terms of glorifying Kenwright like Julius Ceaser whilst Rome has been burning is a disgrace.

The words 'We got it wrong' don't feature once in that highly defensive piece.

Claiming that they're 'listening' doesn't mean they're going to do anything about it or that they've seen the error of their ways.

It's 'a disgruntled group of Evertonians', written in a sneery, patronising, rubbing-our-heads-Aldridge-to-Brian-Laws style.

Nothing will change, for all the reasons documented in the 40+ page other Echo thread.

'We're listening.' 'We're listening' 'We're listening'

A very simple test on their supposed 'good intentions of fairness' will be if they send a reporter to the Blue Union meeting on July 11th at the CASA, and if the meeting gets any coverage in the following days paper(s).

Because previously they've refused to cover all but one of the meetings, and only attended the one they did because Neville Southall attended.

These are meetings that draw several hundred EFC fans to discuss the latest club issues in a relaxed atmosphere. Southall said it best - he came to one of the meetings to see if we really were all the devil as we'd been portrayed and said what he'd seen was perfectly normal passionate Blues that just want the best for the club and shouldn't be castigated for wanting a failing regime to change.

No. But not because of the awful bias, purely because it's an awful paper. Which has gotten worse since Trinity Mirror took over. Written by idiots for idiots. Printed by Mancs.

Terrible paper, they don't even seem to hide the bias.
I think the problem with the Echo is it needs to appeal to a wider readership then real football fans, which includes people who make out they are a "red" but haven't got a clue about the match or never go the game. But will click a link to a story because they are a scouser and want to be involved with local culture.
