Martinez: "If our neighbour wins the league then that is fantastic for them. If they can win it with our help then that is better than than not with our help".

I heart Roberto Martinez.

My question to them, in addition to my post earlier, is how will you feel, having wanted Everton to get beat, seeing Liverpool win the league anyway?

What if you all get your wish, and we do lose, and they won anyway, and we missed Europe? Then what if, after a season where we could've pushed on and haven't (coz of no Europe) they win the league again?

But you do what you what, cheer for Man City if somehow you think that justifies being an Everton supporter.

Me, I'll be behind Everton this weekend.

Keep up the good fight, even if they call you a kopite!

Yous wanting us to lose will be brutally piped down when Goodison ROARS it's approval when we score on Saturday.

And for those not wanting to cheer our goals on Saturday, give your ticket to someone who will.

1st bolded part.... lol you still going on about that !

2nd bolded part.... You still twisting peoples comments and now claiming people wont cheer our goals. I haven't seen one person say this (granted i haven't seen all comments). What are you not getting ? If we win, we win, happy days. If we lose, we lose, happy days.

Its really that simple

I'm going on about how some will be supporting City to beat us, and not being pleased at all if we win. You're going on about being pleased either way.

Significant difference.

Palace have done what they set out to achieve i.e. retain their PL status, they've got zero to play for and an early goal for the RS kills the game imo.

+1

When Palace beat us and Chelsea relegation still haunted them so they played with the pedal to the metal.

That said, they played well in snatches against City last week so they are more than a forlorn hope on Monday.

It'll be interesting to see what the atmosphere will be like tomorrow. I have a feeling the celebrations will be less than wild if Everton score.

Obviously the players and manager will be out to win, and that's fine, but I won't be able to help wondering where that determination was last weekend, or at home to Palace. Their annual bummings at Anfield will likely spring to mind as well.

In his head mate

This.

He has been trying to goad people all week and is not averse to twisting people's words or even inventing them.

And the best bit is he lives in Germany yet presumes to lecture lids who fork out their hard earned to follow EFC how they should think.

So don't be rising to the bait, lids.

He is a wannabe WUM who has been rumbled.

OT slightly, but the "Time to Believe-We're Gonna Win the League" thread on RAWK is fantastic. Just saw a "by God's grace we will deffo win in the end". You really can NOT make this stuff up.

Yep. It'd be a bitter pill to swallow if they turn in a performance of high quality and character against City when they basically bottled it against opposition like Palace and Southampton.
