Keep it going lad, this big daddy fella needs to take lessons
Where do you draw the line on incidents off the ball? If Suarez had the ball it would have been a certain pen, but he didn't the ball had long gone. Do we start giving pens for obstruction, jostling before a corner is taken? That's the only reason in my mind why Webb didn't give it.
exactly, that's why i was wondering on a clarification. I mean if chelsea are knocking it about on the half way line and terry trips suarez up in the box, who's about to make a run towards the half way line, that's not a pen is it.
Mourinho is very, very good. The "I'm not English, but.." is genius. What he's saying is complete bull****. But, you've got to take your hat off and give credit where it's due. He's playing the media game phenomenally.
I'd say that sounds about right. I believe that for transfers, the club has put in place a committee that assess potential targets and determine whether bids should be made. Rodgers is on the committee. My theory is, and this is only my theory. Is that they spoke to a few people about the job on the basis that a director of football would be involved with transfers. Martinez ran a mile and Rodgers didn't fancy it either, so they changed their minds and dropped the idea of a director of football, and hired Rodgers. Which order it was in (Martinez or Rodgers first choice) I can't work out but that's my take on it.
