Who was that 3rd choice goalkeeper they had who was spotted laughing during the Hillsborough memorial at Anfield couple of years back. He was instantly thrown out of the club. So will they do the same with this moron?

Itandje or something like that , anyway I'm sure he was giggling with somebody else but they were half decent or a prospect or whatever and they kept him.

Haha they're all mental, I imagine the Uruguay squads training sessions to be like a scene from 28 Days Later.

I'm off to see Uruguay v France in Montevideo in June, and can't wait now! I'ev always liked a bit of zombie action. I'll post some vids up on here, although hardly any will be of football per se. It'll be a gore-fest, but only due to the home team being pumped up on adrenalin etc.

Cocks.

On what grounds would they appeal though? That it was accidental or in some way misinterpreted? There's no grey areas here. No additional evidence to produce. Whatever the hearing decides, if they challenge it, then they have to give a reason why it is wrong that compels then to change it.

The only grounds I think they can appeal on is by saying that Suarez has apologised, is a reformed figure and that they think that deserves his ban to be trimmed a little bit

That's the only thing they can do

I think Brian Clough tried it when Billy Bremner got a suspension. Basically went it and said "yes, he's guilty and we'll sort it in house, any chance you can just raise the fine and shorten his ban?"

It didn't work

If, as some have suggested, Suarez has 'issues' regarding his mental health, I think the compassionate thing to do is for him to seek help.

When the doctor(s) have decided that he no longer represents a threat to his fellow professionals, he should then be allowed to play football again.

That, to me, is 100% fair. How could anyone argue with it?

As for Carragher's comment (and some of Gerrard's), it brings to mind this lovely saying:

Better to remain silent and be thought an idiot, than to open your mouth and confirm it.

It will be interesting to see what the FA do with the independent panels verdict. It appears to be a bit of a power struggle between LFC and the FA., LFC are saying 3 games the FA are saying more. In a way this goes to the heart of what has become the cancer eating away at football. Certain clubs, LFC, Manu, Arsenal, Chelsea, and managers, Ferguson, Wenger, think they are above the rules and laws of the game.

There has been a concerted effort by some Suarez apologists to say that a 'bite is worse than a broken leg' because they realise how vital Suarez is to how far LFC get next season. I suppose a 'bite is worse than an achilles injury' an injury that can threaten your career, something Suarez has done time and time again. They are yet again defending the indefensible because their prized asset is at risk of 'being driven out of England and the Prem will suffer'. Even die hard Kopites like Thompson have found it difficult to defend the indefensible.

Remember this from Carragher the weapon.

''When my leg was broken in an horrific tackle by Lucas Neill in September 2003, my mates were ready to hunt him down if I gave the go-ahead.

A few weeks later I received a phone call. "You won't believe this, Jay. We're in the Trafford Centre and Lucas Neill is walking straight towards us. What do you reckon?"

Did I really want Neill to take a crack? "There's only one problem," added the voice. "Little Davey Thommo is with him."

That was that. I could hardly let one of my best mates, David Thompson, now a Blackburn player, become a witness to an assault. Besides he'd have recognised the attackers. The impromptu mission was aborted and I sent a text to Thommo telling him Neill should give him a hug of thanks''
