"Someone please explain to me why Suarez deserves a longer ban than Fellaini? I hope we appeal the length if it's anything over 4 games."

hahah the rs are fuming, they are comparing it to fellaini headbut.

3 Match ban is more than sufficient, anymore than that and I think they can feel more than a little hard done by.

All about opinions of course, but if I went out and sank my teeth into someone off the street, there is a good chance I would get into serious trouble with the authorities.

Ivanovic needs to press charges. If this rat gets away with a meagre 3 match ban whilst donating his wages to their favourite charity, that in itself sends out every kind of wrong signal to all and sundry.

Why is it different for footballers? He even has previous.

So Ivanovic has refused his apology? Good on him.

Where then did the reports that Ivanovic had accepted his apology and appreciated the personal phone call emerge from?

I'm not being d*ckish but had Suarez broke the skin with that bite then Ivanovic would've had to have blood tests, and spend weeks/months waiting for the all clear. Not nice.

"Let’s not forget, he didn’t actually do any damage to Ivanovic. He didn’t break the skin. It was like throwing a punch and not landing it."

"There are players who have done terrible things and apologised after two minutes and have been portrayed as a hero for apologising quickly.

"Luis Suarez apologises immediately and nobody believes the apology. It's sad. Are they living their personal lives by the same rules? I don't like that. There is plenty of hypocrisy in football now.

"He tried to bite someone in the arm; no harm, really. A little pain. But if a player goes over the top and tries to break a leg? That's good because we are strong and we like the tackle.

"That's where we are in England. I know where I am living, and I adapt and I live with it."

"Do you want him in England? Yes or no? If everybody is against him, he will leave. I know him quite well. I don't know how he is managed, so I can't comment on that.
