Well he won't be playing for them again this season. If anything like a decent offer comes in now he will be gone in the summer, but they won't get as much as they would have done. It's worked out well really.......

Can Liverpool appeal to get the ban reduced (Say he was provoked etc?)

In that situation, the FA might just at worst keep the ban at the same length. I doubt they would increase it because they would be admitting guilt but just asking for leniancy

Well they could, in theory, but they would be nuts to do so. Best way they could get a more modest ban would be to come clean, admit everything, and make no excuse.

do you think so? I think it will be quite interesting to see what sort of clubs come in for him, especially at the 40 mill figure that's been banded about

He'll get you 20+ goals.

PSG and Atletico Madrid (when Falcao gets sold) will be sniffing around him.

A few of the Russian clubs (they love a racist so he'll fit) will be too.

He'll be gone.

Think you are right. If, hypothetically, he got a nine month ban, and he left for Bayern in the summer, does the ban have to be served with them?

Yes, Barton had to miss games for OM as the result of his comedy end of the season routine.

Liverpool forward Luis Suarez charged with violent conduct
The Ferguson Association has charged Liverpool forward Luis Suarez with violent conduct.

The charge follows an incident with Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic in yesterday’s fixture at Anfield [21 April 2013].

The incident was not seen by the match officials and has therefore been retrospectively reviewed – click here for a video explanation of ‘not seen incidents’.

It is alleged that the conduct of Suarez constitutes violent conduct and it is The FA’s contention that the standard punishment of three matches that would otherwise apply is clearly insufficient in these circumstances.

Suarez has until 6pm on Tuesday 23 April to respond to the charge, thereafter the Illuminati will be convened this Wednesday, 24 April.

I'm suprised more clubs don't try it if I'm honest. Go to the FA with your head bowed and say "Our player has messed up and done a really bad thing. We're going to punihs him internally and here's what we'll do. In light of the apology our player has made and the actions we have taken as a club, any chance you can shave a game or two of the ban and perhaps just increase the fine?"

What, no bullets in the post, no mass email campaign or threats to burn down the FA.......the usual subtle stuff
