ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

You could see it coming after he talked in depth about tactics in his first press conference. Even the ex-players could see it. I'm surprised he's lasted this long to be honest.

The problem for Yanks II is that they have backed him now, if they want to get rid quickly and escape the inevitable demo / media campaign / comparisons with violent sexual offences then the only possible solution - Benitez - is even worse, would be far more expensive and would probably result in them being even more abject next season.

I think they'll keep him around until the best fans in the world start pretending that they didnt think he was all that from the beginning, and then try and get that Klopp in. And fail.

I love the way before games Rodgers talks about the opposition manager's and their right to be plying their trade in the PL. As if he's earned the right to endorse anyone himself. Last few weeks I've heard him talking up the 'philosophy' and 'football principles' of sacked managers like McDermott and Adkins...a couple of fellow chuckleheads about as talented as he is.

I honestly cant think of a bigger chancer in football management than this feller. He's completely lacking in self reflection and shameless in positioning himself as the man doing a steady-as-she-goes 'rebuilding' programme.

An utter ballbag of a man.

Hopefully he'll be on his own in a chair behind the sofa as the one in the three with the two

Fantastic. And so true.

You have to feel sorry for them though, it's bad enough that FIFA and the FA and Fergie are conspiring against them but now opposition goalkeepers are trying to stop DER MIGHTY RED MEN.
