I've been having this argument about Allen with a kopite since 5 o clock mate.... I've told him as plainly as I can that I think Allen is just a very ordinary midfielder who looks desperately out of his depth ....he insists that it's just settling in nerves and he will become an integral part of their team for years to come...... I give up.... even when the evidence is there before their own eyes they still deny the blatant truth.

theres no real difference between the two tbh. britton was a west ham reject and joined swansea in the 4th division. swansea even let him go when they were in the championship i think.

Disservice to Batty really Foxy mate, Allen is too slow, too small and too weak to be a top player in my opinion.

size isn't a bar to playing at the top level, look at bainsey, pat nevin etc.. Xavi Allens problem is that he is an average prem player with no stand out ability or skills.

Size was probs the wrong word,,,, he has a very small frame with no actual weight so is easily knocked off the ball....Baines is a stocky lad, Nevin was a winger not a central midfielder.....I agree size shouldnt matter but he looks like a boy against men on the pitch at times.
