half the people on this forum are not football players with 1000's of kids wanting to be like him. there is a joke and there teaching kids (who look up to him) that saying gay for something bad.

im sure if everyone started saying everton for negative comments im sure we would be piissed off after a bit.

Probably older than you but that doesn`t make gay an offensive word. it means jolly or happy. Its also used to describe somebody who is homosexual.Generally without causing offence.
