TALKSport was unbelievable today, with that utter wankpedal Jason Cundy announcing that while the penalty was a definite dive, benteke was 'quite right' to do what he did 'for the team', and that it's acceptable now as part and parcel of the game. Cue an avalanche of Cultists dialling in to dribble on about how it's a fair play to dive for an advantage. One particularly repulsive specimen announced that it was 'a dive but perfectly within the laws of the game', to which the toad Cundy replied 'brilliant point! absolutely!'

Never have I felt such an urge to call in and ask why, if it's within the laws of the game, is 'simulation' a bookable offence. Mind you, prefacing my point with 'Admittedly I loathe Liverpool FC with the passion of a thousand suns' might have prejudiced things against me...

Didn't see the penalty decision but by what BBC Merseyside commentators were saying during the game, it's a pretty embarrassing one.
