he's a pretty decent comparison in one sense. Bryan Robson got all the plaudits but Reid bossed him every time they faced each other. Similarly, Scholes just gets on with it whilst others get the glory. Of course, Reid could tackle, too.

Robson got injured too much. At one point he couldn't take a tackle without putting shoulders out. I didn't see the fascination then so definately can't now. He was the skipper that started a season with 9 wins, was 19 points ahead of us at xmas and finished 27 behind us.

Did you ever see Robson boss a midfield when he was playing against Reid? No, neither did I.
