ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

What is mind boggling to me is that in 23 years with close to a billion pounds spent they've only had a serious title challenge 2 or 3 years out of the 23. That is epic mismanagement.

Yep. And this is a side that has had Alonso, peak form Torres, Slippy, Suarez, Mascherano, Owen in recent years

Absolute joke of a club

Quite honest about him and Rafael Benitez.

Oh yes. L.A. la-la land is obviously allowing his me-me neurosis to flourish too I guess....

"There has been no contact since he (Rafael)left Liverpool.....I didn't know whether he respected me...whether he loved me...I didnt whether he cared about me....I didnt know whether he wanted to sell me or not. Not knowing, I wanted to get that love...."

If it hadnt have been knocked down, Id have said theyd be choking on their pints in The Bluebell at that.

In a couple of years this will all be a distant memory. At Colchester on a cold windy Tuesday night Brendan Rodgers will be giving a post match interview to the one journalist present about how the Colchester fans must have been made up to see his Wycombe side play tonight despite them losing 4-1. Waiting for him will be his overweight 50 year old bird after the money grabbing skank he was with has ran off with a younger bloke. All will be back to reality.

Take the money out of it, I'd much rather have their record over the last 20 years. They've at least won stuff.

Rodgers: I won't leave the club unless the owners want me out

Translated. 'I'm a goner but wont leave because I will get no compensation'.

"“ Whilst I’m here, I’ll always do the best I can. I’m never going to walk away because I’ll always have belief that I can improve players and make things better.”

So it doesn't matter then who the transfer committee give him he will improve them?

Balotelli - "The Milan manager, Sinisa Mihajlovic, said: “The real Balotelli has returned, and he can now handle the provocation. He was perfect, the best player on the pitch".

Aspas - "Iago Aspas scored twice as Celta Vigo sent Barcelona crashing to a 4-1 defeat to temporarily go top of La Liga. After disappointing spells at Liverpool and Sevilla, Aspas is back to his best this season having returned to Celta.".

As soon as player get away from Rodgers they get better. Downing another one who got better. Martin Kelly - defender who is better than any they have on their books.

Continue talking bull Mr Clever, that is all you have going for you.

Shelvey can be added to that list too. Also, Llovren has somehow been turned into the worst defender in the prem under his genius man management. haha

'Rodgers like a stage show'

"I feel overall with Brendan Rodgers, with how he started – with that documentary – and how he talks before and after the games, he doesn’t endear himself to me. It’s almost like a stage show.

"If there was one player that could help him in the Liverpool dressing room, it’s Steven Gerrard. He should still be at the club. If they had sent out the right message and offered him a contract early, he’d still be there now.

Oh my poor aching sides. Stop it Mr Pearldrops, please, for God's sake, just stop will you!!

'Positive fear'

Liverpool v Aston Villa (15:00 BST)

What is it with football managers and them making up quotes? Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers shrugged off the pressure he is under this week - instead labeling it "positive fear".

"That's what drives a manager on - that fear, positive fear," said Rodgers. "But it doesn't frighten me. I've got an inherent belief in what I do but I don't shy away from the fact that you need to get results and be performing well to try and stay and work.

"How do I block it out? It's very simple. I hope to be a football manager for another 20-odd years and I suspect that those 20 won't be at Liverpool, but whilst I'm here I want to fight for the players and the club."
