Will they let Rodgers keep the club blazer and tie when they sack him?
Your work sir?
Good effort if so
Remarkably they finished with more points this season than that one.On this weekend in 2005 they won the champions league
On this weekend in 2015 they got pummeled 6-1 by stoke city.
How the mighty have fallen
that's if anther big club doesn't steal Klopp first.Think they'll hit the ejector button on Rodgers myself. It's a precarious situation, because FSG would no doubt look at Klopp as the ideal manager but I'm not sure they could convince him to take over. Klopp could name his price at almost any club now and, apart from him and Rafael, options look thin on the ground.
Was at a business dinner last week sat next to a (sensible) football agent (Mods can have details if they want) who said that Rodgers is under massive pressure on the personal front, going through an increasingly bitter divorce and all that entails, meetings with solicitors, having to answer salvoes of questions from the wife's solicitors against a tight timescale - and it's something he can't delegate, as no one else can provide the answers. Allegedly this has also caused him to miss training on a few occasions.
This may or may not be the reason for his apparent lack of preparation compared to last year but you have to have some sympathy for the bloke as anyone who's been through a similar situation knows how all consuming a divorce can be. A massive distraction at the very least, spending your evenings answering the avalanche of demanding and loaded questions from the ex's solicitors...and not thinking about the job in hand.
Maybe he shouldn't have dumped his wife of 10 years for a bit of young fluff then.
Maybe there simply wasn't anything there anymore? No wife who feels wanted and loved by a man lets herself go that badly physically. Rodgers was the same, only got into shape after he left his wife. Maybe both were stagnating.
Maybes, maybes...
It's easy now when his football's [Poor language removed] to knock the man.
fukwit.
