What I was saying is, your decent defence last season was essentially Moyes' players that he left behind. I will be interested to see how Martinez will build his own defence in time to come.

Tbh it wasn't. We played differently as we built out from the back more and both (rather than one) fullback pressed forward whilst being covered by two new defensive minded midfielders in Barry & McCarthy. Was a whole different setup to Moyes.

And our run of 7 wins on the bounce was with John Stones partnered by Distin, Moyes never played Stones. We also spent a while without Baines as well due to a broken toe and Oveido played in his place - surely you remember that with his goal
