That offer to Gerrard - I bet he's angling for a first team coaching role and Rodgers, rightly, can smell a Dalglish-like ambush.

If Gnashers has any sense he'll punt Gerrard asap. He's standing in the shadows - the enemy within, biding his time.

Obviously this is going to end badly for someone: Keep Stevie Me and Brendan's stock goes down and down OR sell him and write your own suicide note. I suspect the smart move is to do the latter and take the money and run (after being removed from the job) before things get worse but I can't see that happening anytime soon with Gerrard's influence and Rodgers' vanity to the fore.

3) he moves abroad. Liverpool are top at xmas next season, once again thinking it's all sewn up, so get gerrard on loan so he can play enough game to get a winners medal ... he slips in a title decider in front of the kop again, letting kone to run through and score.
 

Yawnfest media whipping up this non event and trying to make a story out of it.

They completely ignore when he commits an assault, but when he gets a splinter on his backside it's wall to wall papers ant TV.

Watch Brendan put his arm around him now and call him a "world class footballer" at his next dogma sermon.
