I put it to Aldo that if there was goal line technology in 2005 then Liverpool wouldn't have won the Champions League

I bow to your greater knowledge of your own players mate but I'd prefer to have Walcott. I've seen him have some good games at GP and his end product is on a different planet to Sterling's. He flatters to deceive does Raheem but if Barkley gave the ball away half the amount of times in a game he does then I wouldn't want him in the side. I'd love to see how many goals/assists in his appearances Sterling has.
Fair enough :D Walcott's finishing is good yeah.

The thing is though Walcott is a very rigid player, his only position is the right hand side and he has no ability to drift across lines, this is unfortunately a very BIG limitation. He will have some excellent games but there will be a rigid formation if Walcott is in the team.

Sterling has the pace, his passing isn't that far off imo and ok, his finishing isn't as good as Walcott's but he has sharp turns, and so can dribble better than Walcott for defence penetration and he's also flexible tactically. He can drop deeper in the middle to pick up the ball, he can move out to the left, right etc. he could switch positioning with our players flawlessly and this would create massive space. It might sound shocking but I would put Sterling ahead of Walcott. :(

RAWK filosofee class now in session:

From a poster calling himself 'Aristotle'

There's a certain chess parallel with the way Rodgers has set us up this season called Kotov-syndrome. It's one where a player takes extraordinary steps to come out of a very complicated situation where he ends up making more mistakes, usually blunders, than if he'd just reacted with his first thought. In essence the player overcompensates for his complicated situation by handing his opponent the game.

This season is Kotov-syndrome summed up.

It wuz dat Kotov, lad.
