I think Lovren is another expensive example of Rodgers 'having to play to justify buying' like with Balotelli. He was poor today throughout while Toure was stuck fast in the dugout having played well and kept Ronaldo quiet in Spain in midweek. His much trumpeted tactical nous and expertise is beginning to show its true colours to those who hadn't already sussed him out and isn't so much tarnishing but disintegrating rapidly.
