Another RAWK nugget

In 2001/02 I was at Anfield when we played Barcelona in the Champions League and we lost 3-1. We applauded them off the park and they played beautifully.
Tonight we lost 3-0 to a Real Madrid who, to be frank, didn't play as well. It was defending that let us down. We had more chances tonight and held them for longer than we did that night. So tonight feels worse, a hollow defeat, not to a team a class above us, albeit they might be, but because it didn't have to be like that.

AAHHHHHH...there there only his second match then ?

So literally not one of those players were ACTUALLY going to join Liverpool?
Bids rejected, turned down etc. Just players linked to them.

We could do one of those for Everton, and end up with a team of superstars too.

Let's be honest.... Madrid only had to play 25 mins of a 90 minute match to beat them with ease. First twenty they let Liverpool steam around getting nowhere.... From twenty minutes in Madrid switched up a gear until half time..... Second half they strolled around for fun without breaking a sweat..... 25 minutes is all they had to play for.... Ha ha 25 mins to destroy the fun.

"not to a team a class above us".............hahahahaha....Was he talking about QPR.........no mate, Real Madrid are a team several classes above you.........

I would have loved Jelavic to grab the goal(s) for Hull this weekend but sadly he is injured. But any Hull goals will be nice :)
Honestly I would sooner Suarez got smashed in half by Madrid than scored the winner. I can understand the comedy value of him playing well after Liverpool got humiliated, but even though he has gone from here, he is still a disgusting individual. I haven't forgotten the things he has done, not just to our great football club, but in tarnishing the name of the city too. I still hate him.

Of course a huge result for Suarez (and Barca) puts their struggle to compete with Real Madrid right in the shade.. imagine the fume if Suarez scores a winner in the Bernabeu (making them put one over a side that just strolled to a 3-0 AWAY win (could have been 6-0) in the CL..

brendan rodgers: we were okay for 0-0 if you include the first 20 minutes, digregard the next 25 and then count the next 45 mins - if football was played like that we would have got a draw, possibly a win
