Their fans are getting really desperate if they are looking forward to having Origi next season. LAd is a headless chicken, all pace no product. Like a poor mans Julian Joachim and they have spunked £10m on him.

They've been brought back to reality.

What's happened to all the parades and escorts for their team coach into the ground?

Singing "and now you're gonner believe us, we're gonner win the league" ended too.

Back to reality.

It's going to be comical when Suarez runs on the pitch on Saturday in El Classico and gets the winner.

*maximum fumage*

I laugh when he talks about balotellis "potential"

Balotelli - 3 Italian league winners medals: 1 PL winners medal; 1 CL winners medal
Rodgers - zip, nowt, nothing, nada, not a sausage

Big Mario must be pissing himself.

Bingo, he's an established player with a history of playing a certain way. You know what you are going to get, warts and all.

It's amazing, Rodgers makes the decision to bring him in and then expects him to morph into a different player. Balotelli's style is to stay in the right areas and wait for the game to come to him, either you except that and play to his strengths or you don't buy him in the first place.

I think if you're a rational football fan you acknowledge that argument and dont defend any attempt at trying to transform the style of an established player with a good scoring record in top class football. Of course, these aren't rational football fans; they're slobbering cult-like zombies who cant go beyond group think.

Note from Amalgamated Collective of Zombies: "We get a bad enough press already, already."

As much as Rodgers is a drivel spouting charlatan, I am a bit worried about the curtain getting pulled back a bit much here.
Let him pass the buck on Balotelli, or whichever player he can blame next. The idea of him getting the boot and them getting a manager in who doesn't spend all night thinking up his next media friendly sound bite, and actually can unearth good players and tactics, bothers me.
Long may he reign.

Random Rodgers Ramblings.......

"Brendan Rodgers: Liverpool FC don't need a defensive coach" Lpool Echo
......Thank God for that - wouldn't want them improving or anything.

Five reasons why Mario Balotelli is not to blame for Liverpool’s absence of rhythm :The Times, Tony Barrett
.....In the entire 90 minutes against Real, Liverpool made six fouls and picked up no bookings. Rodgers has no wish to see his team become overly physical and continues to prioritise technique over force, but he has also recognised that there are occasions when Liverpool lack the necessary intensity and aggression to impose themselves on opponents.
“We could’ve been better in that element [against Real] for sure,” he said. “I am not one who probably studies that side of it so much. I tend to know whether the team was aggressive or not.
“I felt we could have been more competitive in certain situations because that is the mark of champions. The mark of champions is how you are competitive against the best opponents. Against Real, it wasn’t through want of trying or work ethic, but it was an area we could have been better in. I think, if you look, we were labelled this before — ‘we’re too nice’ — and proved over a period of time we weren’t. This year, obviously, we have more games to carry, which takes a slight intensity out of the legs. For us, it’s a whole learning experience for many players at the level. These experiences will make us better.”

Yer whaa' ?????

Haha....Don't ya just love the way the irony of what hes said totally bypasses him...five star RS behaviour that. "Liverpool don't need a defensive coach"..... then regularly disproves it by going on the defensive so actually, they've already got one.
