Random Rodgers Ramblings .....

Rodgers told talkSPORT: "With Mario yesterday, what I liked was that he was in the position to miss the chances."

And he told The Echo : “But the dynamic has changed. And with Sturridge out we don't have that so much. That leaves Raheem up there as the only one looking to break the line.
“So we shifted Stevie from that deeper playmaker role, what I would call the No.4 role, into a No.10 role.
“The problem then, though, is that you then need to get the ball into him. And in the first half our movement was too static, the circulation of the ball was too slow, and we couldn't get him on the ball. So we flipped the triangle around, moved him to the bottom, and that enabled him to start the attacks for us. We were a little bit better in the second half.”

So what he's basically said is that they were sh!t when he was playing deep, they were still sh!t when they then played him higher up, so he put him deep again to start the attacks?

Wonderful logic you blubbery faced cliche. Maybe just accept the fact that your captains no longer that good and grow a pair of bollocks and drop him.

Hahaha, "I changed it to what I thought was best, it never worked, so I put Stevie *vomit* back to where he wanted to go, so that he can play 30 yard Hollywood passes and make himself look good"

Liverpools biggest issue has been dealing ith a 4-4-2.

Bring it.
Ancelotti played it away at Ludogrets. I dont see him throwing caution to the wind against Liverpool with anything more adventurous.

Ronaldo will enjoy shouldering the burden of carrying the attack.

Ancelotti would probably view the two games against Liverpool as a result if he got 4 out of the 6 points. Obviously he'd take a victory at Anfield too, but he wont be overly cavalier in this first game.

And hes that good, he can even "shift Stevie from that deeper playmaker role, what I would call the No.4 role, into a No.10 role." ...
and, all the time, while hes wearing a what I would call the No.8 shirt. So he can. And while hes even flipped the triangle

Why does he have to invent terms as if the position never existed before he enlightened us all, the 'number 4' role for Christ's sake. What next, is he going to highlight how the keeper plays in the penalty area and can use his hands, maybe he will call it the 'number 1' role.

The guy gets worse and worse trying to defend his ego.
