ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Hodgson bided his time while Brenda strutted round like a prize peacock on speed, repeatedly telling anyone and everyone that the England management team with their 40 odd years of experience in football, in successful winning football, and with all the resources of one of the worlds biggest FA's have to call up, don't know how to train players... and he waited silently....and he waited patiently....

...then he thrust the knife if quickly on Sunday and now he's twisting it slowly.
Pretty much the strength of the situation, yes.

he's also got an outside shot at the title of Mr Colgate 2014

He stands a better chance of winning that than any football trophy.

I think the penny will drop after this season with even the media: Brendan Tadgers - 8 seasons in management...£300M spent = zero.

Hodgson: won titles in two European countries with a bunch of farmers and street cleaners and was acclaimed as being largely responsible for transforming football tactics in Scandinavia; took Inter and the unfashionable Fulham to the UEFA Cup final; got Switzerland to the WC after an absence of almost 30 years.

Rodgers: Nothing, zip, nowt, zero, nada and sweet **** all.

Come on mate, you are doing Mr Clever a disservice here, even Fergie didn't win this beaut.

Rodgers following the 2011 Championship Play-Off Final

Hodgson has put the boot into Mr Clever big time and the super ego Brenda doesn't like it one iota. Mr 'I'm never wrong' ego gets knocked out of joint every time there is an international. No one wants him on the telly to pontificate how he has reinvented football. Remember before the world cup, when he told the world that big Phil was on the blower to him and asking him to keep an eye on the Brazilians in the prem. But now the clamour from the RS dominated media, and their sycophants, is that 'Hodgson needs to talk to Rodgers', and as such tickle the ego of Mr Clever, 'I'm in the limelight and being consulted'.

Mr Clever, has not been so clever though, and has used Sterling to have a dig at Hodgson. There is no way that Sterling of his own accord would have said to the England manager, 'I'm tired', he would have been prompted by Rodgers, or teachers pet, Henderson, to claim he was tired and needed a rest. Sterling must be the first 19 year old footballer in the history of the game to say, 'Sorry gov' I don't want to come out to play today because I'm tired'. Mr Clever has set him up, to get back at Hodgson for the Sturridge injury and for not taking any notice of the two day recovery that is supposed to be set in stone for LFC speed merchants. LFC's poor start has put pressure on Rodgers and some people have begun to question his management.

Rodgers thought that because Hodgson was such a failure at LFC, then he was easy game to blame for all the ills that have befallen them this season. Mr Clever will be found wanting over this, as he is over spending £120 million on bang average players.

Funnily enough, I remember certain people on GOT last season - just before the Great Collapse - beginning to succumb to the 'Mr Clever' propaganda: that the naysayers were wilfully overlooking Tadger's genius.

I think the majority though subscribed to the view that he wasn't Mr Clever, but merely Mr Inherited Suarez. Now he's Mr Disinherited Suarez the picture becomes more clearer for all.

Think hodgson has come out worse in this than rodgers tbh, all the articles are about hodgson and sterling from what ive seen
The media are spinning this both ways: that Sterling is to blame or that Hodgson is to blame (the latter spun by ex Liverpool players). I'd say though that the public view is that Sterling is a cry baby and that his club manager is interfering in matters he should keep his trap shut about.

To be fair i genuinley do feel that its a good thing players telling their manager how they feel. For all the sports science and medical team, we know better than anyone when were not feeling right.
Unfortunately for Sterling it is Liverpool that burn him out not England, of course Rodgers will be having a word in his ear to say otherwise.
The scabby lipped, tranny bumming, overhyped, ass kissing, dogleash's b**ch.

Were der redmen we are der best. The mighty Libpool FC. Y.N.W.A.

Worse thing is not only do they refuse everything that is said about them, i dont think they even realise how silly they are.
Long may it continue.

I still dont understand why Hodgson is getting stick over the Germany match last season, lots of pieces saying he injured Sturridge by playing him for 90 minutes. He played the game after for liverpool ffs then was out for weeks for an injury that the genius Rodgers obviously aggravated at liverpool.

Its special offer day in The Echo today....two idiots for the price of one on the Stirling Saga. First "Aldo" chiming in with...

Asked during the early stages of his ill-fated six-month spell in charge of the Reds whether there was anywhere quite like Anfield for an atmosphere, he replied “the San Siro and Old Trafford are excellent”.

haha fantastic

Simple explanation for this.

The RS cultists who infest the media will play down any criticism of Brent whilst at the same relish sticking the boot into the manager most despised by the cult in my lifetime.
I don't know mate. This has been good fun watching from a Blue perspective but the England press, and not just the ex-RS (Rio Ferdinand, writers in the Telegraph, & more), seems to be divided between two camps of blaming Hodgson or blaming Sterling. Alot of what i've seen on twitter has been on Sterling

The Echo are bad blurts. Look at the pictures they use of Rodgers and Hodgson on the back of the echo today. Brenda trying to look all clever and steely glaring into the middle distance, and a dopey looking Roy.
And the article.... it's Roy who's apparently caused this issue, by picking a player for his country.
