If anybody who has seen the likes of Zola, Bergkamp, Henry & Cantona play and tells me that Gerrard is the best player in the premier league era I will be OK to shoot them and use that successfully in a court of law to get off. I think I may actually be applauded by everyone in the courtroom for getting rid of a moron.

Lampard, Scholes, Drogba, Suarez (forgive me Jesus), Ronaldo....

Henry in his pomp > Suarez, Drogba, and Premier League Ronaldo.

Bergkamp > everyone for pure sex on football.

Aye, but I was merely pointing out the amount of players who are classes apart from Gerrard. Also, I'm a massive fan of Drogba. Thought he was a different type of player to Henry, but one of the most effective strikers I've ever seen and his record in big games speaks for itself.

Fair enough.

Carry on sir.

1) Pirlo was a bang average midfielder for most of his career. That is why AC let him go at the time because he wasnt very good. As he got older and changed position for his new club he learned and improved and found his true calling on the pitch. Its football, it happens. that is how Brittan became a central midfielder for Swansea under our manager, how Jags became a defender and Scholes as a deeper lying player.

hahahahaha seriously, swing and a miss.

Couple of things mate:

1) Pirlo has never been bang average
2) He's always played that deep sitting role, always. He started his youth career as an attacking midfielder but once he broke into the Brescia he side he was dropped back into the holding role to allow Roberto Baggio the freedom.
3) He won numerous titles and cups with AC Milan and was always reffered to has their heart beat, he made them tick. He'd sit there and have people like Seedorf, Amborsini, Gattuso doind all the running and closing down of the defensive partnership.
4) He left AC Milan because he wanted too, it was a mutual decision not to extend his contract

I was going to do a full list but I couldn't be arsed trying to remember them all ;)

Speed, Shearer, Giggs, Viera, Kanchelskis, Le Tissier to name a few others that are either more talented and/or more effective than Mr Slippy in the modern era.

Don't forget Linderoth, Pembridge, Nyarko and Gemmill.

...in his book SAF says Gerrard is a good player but has never been a great one. In games when Scholes and Keane played, Gerrard hardly got a kick, when he meets the great players across Europe they ask about Scholes but never a mention of Gerrard.

You can tell Mr Clever is under pressure with his outburst about Sturridge and England. Rodgers needs to wind his neck in and can't do a thing if Sturridge plays on Saturday against West Brom.

3 – INJURED PLAYERS
In cases where a club does not release their player due to an injury, the association may, through its doctor, require an examination of the player. This examination may take place at the club where the player is registered to avoid impacting the recovery period[4].
FIFA states that in cases where the player does not want to or is unable to attend the call-up for reason other than injury, he is not allowed to play for his club during the release period, or for an additional five days after[5].

If a club refuses to release a player or neglects to do so for any reason, the FIFA Players’ Status Committee can request that the club's association declares any match(es) in which the player took part to be considered void and any points gained by the club forfeited. Any match contested according to the cup system can be regarded as having been won by the opposing team, irrespective of the score.
