ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Looking at that ridiculous portrait again a couple of things occurred to me, firstly that old Sesame St. tune started going around in my head "One of these kids is not not like the other...", also would the artist have needed his OK for this? After the season and international campaign he's just had, when someone floated the idea does no part of him say, "you know what, I think I'll leave that like, might make make look a bit of a tit ya know?"

"The accusation that they somehow ‘bottled it’ ignores the fact that they won 12 and drew one of their final 14 league games."

The posh lad who writes for them in the Echo has an unusual standpoint on this. The good run of games got them in pole position to win it. Not winning it from that base is the very definition of bottling it.

it's utter tosh, 14 games is a 3rd of the season, a title run in isn't stretched over a 3rd of the season, last 6/7 games max

I always think Easter games and those after are the run in. That gave Liverpool last season 2 wins, a draw and a defeat. Man City over the same period - 5 games, 5 wins.

That's how you close a title race down.
