Laughing at this. Last week I was condemned by you for using the term Uncle Tom....now you dont see the racist overtones in blacks being portrayed as savages to sell some gear. Ask your mate John Barnes if he finds it offensive.
 
What's this about Pepe Reina being in some sort of massively racist insurance advert?

It's in the Guardian today if someone can find it.

To be honest your comment is probably the most racist thing here. Blacks being "portrayed as savages"? Sure if that's how you see them. Or do tribes not exist in Africa these days? Should we go and help out all the black people and ban all the tribes in Africa? Afterall they are making black people look like "savages". Shame on them!

Everybody hates the RS on this site but a bit of common sense is needed sometimes.
 
Davek It's not 'blacks' being portrayed as savages it's tribes. That's like saying a French man eating frogs' legs is representative of all white people.

I'm going to fight a defence of all black people and hate on Pepe, even though black people will not give 1 single **** about this. And if they do they are being stupid. The fact that this is even being considered racist makes me want to die.

But what about the people that aren't fully 100% black? Are you saying races shouldn't mix and people should be either all white or all black?

Well, I appear to be in good company then, because the anti-racist group that got the ad pulled: 'Operation Black Vote' also stated that they opposed it due to it portraying all black people as 'backward, stupid and animalistic'.

As I said, how someone who could find the term Uncle Tom offensive and find that ad unoffensive is having a laugh.
 
The FA have been a bit hot about Homophobia lately, and there is an accusation that beside being a disgustingly racist stance the Spain number two goal keeper has taken with his appearance in this advert that it is also homophobic.

International and Domestic ban please, 12 months minimum.
 
All getting a bit daft now. PC gone mad. How would we feel if this was an Everton player? Not gonna hate on Reina for this one. Sorry.
