In 2005 sat in my local a good friend of mine, matchgoing red said they were gonna win the european cup that year or at the very least get to the final. This was after the last 16 stage - deffo before the quarter finals.

Anyway we all laughed at him and i promised i'd eat the table we were sat at if they did. The rest is sadly history and i didnt actually honour my side of the bet, despite him bringing salt and pepper, knives and forks the first time we were there after they won it.
