I hate the way they rewrite history to suit themselves on RAWK and then because it fits what they want to hear everybody else agrees with it ha ha ...... so for all the RAWK posters who read this...

Martinez did turn you turn down last season.
Rodgers was not your first choice
or your second choice
or your third if it comes to that.

Deal with it.

Roberto oh oh oh...
Roberto oh oh oh
He turned down the red scum
To come to Everton

Looks like Toure is on his way there, looks like a decent signing for them especially looking at their defensive frailties

Thing is, however much he's regressed, Liverpool football Club have regressed further. So despite 3 years of under performing he's still too good for them.

Why on Earth would he go back?

Good point. But they've got Ridger* anyway and he's world class apparently.

* No, I didn't just make it up, that's his actual nickname.

If a 7 year old came up with this poem it wouldn't impress me but the fella who came up with it was pleased enough to post it to RAWK

he played 737 games for us
Jamie Carragher is his name
he's big, he's tall, he's strong, he's tough
he's Liverpool's greatest full back
to call him a legend is just not good enough...

he played each week for our mighty redmen
he wore his heart on his sleeve
he was a stalwart for truth and for justice
and for our 96 souls from Hillsborough did he grieve...

his style was no picture postcard
Carra never took any prisoners for sure
every week he would bleed sweat for his teammates
how could we ever ask for more...

few have ever surpassed his feats
most of his peers never ever will
at ANFIELD only CALLY played more games for us
the great number 7 Cally holds that record still...

and so Carra has decided to hang up his boots
we'll no longer see him shout, point or scowl
as his fellow defenders look around blindly
only to see our mate Carra growl....

he scored a goal in his first game
he almost scored in his last
just a couple of goals in between
and only a lick of paint stopped his last shot going past...

but Carra need not worry
he was not in the team to score goals
any more would have been a bonus
many more stories to be told...

our Jamie was a true scouser
just like Stevie G he had his own style
his desire, his passion and his loyalty
made him stand out the proverbial mile...

so as our Jamie C moves on in his career
we all wish him well cos who knows
we might just see him back here one day
and he will share with us the passion he shows...

CARRA mate it's a great big THANK YOU
from all of us not just THE SPION KOP
we all will genuinely miss you
always be yourself and never ever stop...

you'll never walk alone...

Just dreadful.

The Carragher 'poem' sorta reminds me of this classic from Father Ted:

“Eoin McLove is his name,
“Singing songs is his game,
“Someday, I will say hello, and for a cup of tea, we will go.”
