That's utterly ridiculous - one, because Hillsborough has zero to do with this incident; and two, because the case is against the police, not the FA.
It's not the only comment to link the 2 mate, some of them have convinced themselves of it's validity.
Their total lack of any form of perspective & repetitive whining on this issue, has got beyond boring now.
They still can't accept the basic fact, that the man being a **** & having bags of previous, plus plenty of well publicised snideness that's escaped the referee's gaze, & his obvious lack of contrition, given that he felt 3 games was enough - has had a direct effect on the length of the ban. He fully deserved what the FA have dealt him, as a direct result of the FACT, that he's a grade 'A' **** on the pitch.
I'm bored of explaining this to them, so when it's being mentioned now I'm just saying "You reap what you sow" & walking off. Had some great fume off that tact
