ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

we don't want them getting big money for them ffs, we want them wilting away on huge salaries

Already begun with Salah.

Salah, undoubtedly been one of the best players in the league over the past 4-5 years, but now he’s got a bumper contract and he won’t sustain the quality throughout.

You’ve now got a scenario where they’ve got

32 - Henderson
31 - Van Dijk, Thiago, Matip
30 - Salah, Firmino (OOC in the summer)

They’re all key players for them and they’re now on the wrong side of 30. Liverpool missed a trick not selling Salah for me, when it was getting touted for near £100m.

Dias is an excellent player, I think that Carvalho will be a good player, but feel they’re missing depth to make a push, I’d have conceded and rebuilt, personally.

God, imagine if that happened? That would be magic, wouldn’t it?

Think Liverpool’s big problem now is their key players are all wrong sided of their best years.

They really need to overhaul it, they’ve made some solid signings, but won’t be be enough to have them competing.
The wrong side of thirty and arguably they haven’t turned up to win in two of their three games, which goes against the mentality image.

A few more injuries and poor results and it has the potentials to turn sour quite quickly.

On another note, as they’re only a point ahead of us after three games are they destined for relegation like some of our fans predict for us?

Another weird myth this for me.

Found this out via betting. He never makes a tackle. He’s a good defender, but I can’t figure out how he literally never makes a tackle.

He's an utter myth made by the kopite media. He'll never ever be in the top defenders in the league, never mind the world due to the fact he never defends.

He stays far away from defending as much as possible. Wins headers and the clearances due to his size and good positional play. But putting it on the line...never. Counter attacks he's never there to clear up. He hardly makes any blocks.

He hung Konate out to dry in the champs league final with stats that made him look like he was subbed off after 20mins. Last week he decided not to close down Zaha because, as the spitter put it, he "believed in his keeper". Absolute nonsense. The same with the "he's never been dribbled past" narrative he had for 2 seasons when everyone witnessed with there own eyes that he had been. But when your spend most of the time running away from danger....

Absolute myth. He's a good centre back. But so was David May at one point (tried thinking of a random CB that won stuff).

Think that Salah contract could be their first big misstep. He's going to weigh around their neck. Possibly onlt PSG could sign him under contract for actual cash, and I don't see that happening soon
