ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

All just trying to deflect attention from accepting that they got slapped by a City team that are no great shakes. They just can’t ever admit that they were just beaten, it has to always be an examination of whether long throws are legal, or the offside rule, or the birth place of a referee, or how much injury time there was, or the grass is too short, or too long, or it was too windy, or there was a witch in the stadium, or the opposition was ‘wild’, or they parked a bus, or it was grief, or it was the French police.

They can’t ever just say ‘we got beaten by a better team’.

They take their cue from the club. It's all about protecting the brand - and the brand is damaged if a pretty ropey Man City can take the piss out of a team assembled for about £600M if you combine newcomers with last season's lot.

Their system is gone. Now this is Slot's team and his ways dont cut it in this league.

They have a massive task to fix this. Unless they fluke the CL this is ending in a disaster and a massive clearcut.

They'll milk it as much as they can, like they milked the decision at Spurs a few years ago. Then, low and behold they start getting very favourable decisions. Strange.
Exactly this. They go on about the odd even slightly controversial decisions against them for days. The media perpetuate it and they don't get anything go against them for the next run of fixtures.
A decent bet would be a double on a Liverpool penalty and no bookings for the next 5 fixtures.

Wishful thinking, I know, but it would be nice if the PL refs grew a collective set of balls when it comes to those pricks.

Remember when mane got sent off in a 5-0 demolition by City, for basically kicking the keeper in the face at head height, and there was a week-long inquisition into the 'scandalously unfair' decision across the media?

Ederson was carried off after eight minutes of treatment

Neville chimed in, saying 'Mane was attempting to play the ball and Moss had "ruined the game" with the decision

Nah, nothing to see here lads. Outrageous...

Now, whatever happened to that ref Jon Moss? Oddly disappeared since. Career probably ended by the decision.
