Is the tweet still around from stelfc96 who was knocking out the blag tickets?
Definitely. Whoever made that decision deserves creditBy delaying kick-off and keeping loads outside for ages have the french police actually avoided a far worse outcome ?
Yes the hatred of the Aldo is still alive and well among the elders. Most now just put it down to him being a genetic prick and he continues to prove the theory to be correct to this day.I know the Forest team of the 80s,
Hated them. Read stuart pearce autobiography years ago and he said the worst scumbag out of the lot of them was.. wait for it..Alehouse Aldo.
Apparently Forest played that lot in a league game a few weeks before Hillsborough, and Brian Laws made an error leading to lfc scoring a goal, aldo mockingly patted him on the head and the forest players were fuming.
Then after the Hillsborough tragedy, at the replayed game at old trafford Aldo seeks out Laws and apologises for his behaviour, explains how after the last few weeks, attending funerals, seeing familys faces etc, he dosnt want any bad blood. Laws accepts the apology and they go their separate ways to prepare for the game.
During the game Brian Laws scored an OG and guess which pigeon abusing alcoholic ran over and ruffled his head?
Definitely local youths ambushing Liverpool fans and bunking in.Hundreds (if you believe them) didnt get in with genuine (if you believe them) tickets. and why didnt ';pcal youths' target the madrid end?
some wanky faced queef peddler from taw (the anfield wrap) has just been mouthing off on the national news about french police and uefa being liars.
maybe another european ban is what will make them get hold of the hooligans in their support.
The Echo is truly a rag. There’s another story related to this on the echo, it’s about how fans were fighting amongst themselves in lime street Saturday night.
This story above mentions lime street being closed by the police due to a “disturbance” but doesn’t mention what it was. It doesn’t take Bergerac to work out why.
The UK media will never admit it, the more "normal"(?) liverpool fans need to call it our first. Thanks to social media now you may see a higher variance in perspectives of what went on; @edge 's nephew, and the tweet that was posted here yesterday from the family man whose kids do not want to go a match again. The more people in their own fanbase who call them out, the better chance they have of going to a trouble free football game. All these comments concerning the reaction of the police are fine, however, they don't answer the main nquestion.
How is it possible to have hundreds of effectively trouble free rugby and football events without any significant problems.
Then a game involving LFC comes up and all hell breaks out on their side of the stadium.
It can't all be due to UEFA, the French ministry of the interior and some scallies from the banlieue of St Denis.
There is an evil core of the rs following, why will the UK media not admit it.
yeah bunking in is the scouse thing to do in their ( and some of ours ) eyes . But when you preach justice for the 96 (now 97) then they just make a mockery of the whole justice campaignI put on here before the game.
My nephew was in the ground just after six , I asked him why.
Said to many pissed up fans with blag tickets outside.
French police were out in force and the checking of tickets would mean there was trouble before the game.
He did say some the French police had riot gear on at that stage, before the trouble, not after like some are saying.
Looks like he was spot on , and did the right thing.
I WhatsApp him the scenes outside , and in fairness to the fans he said it was daft the way they had parked the police vans as it made it very narrow.
As when he went trough you got checked for a ticket and searched
This was early so imagine near kick off time.
He got home ok no trouble at all said it was a mix of poor planning, police over reaction, but he said and he must be one of the only ones that admit it,
while a certain section of Liverpool fans think they can turn up without a ticket and get in anyway , and revel in it,
there will always be trouble.
Ask any liverpool fan at any final how many time he has found someone else sitting in his seat at a final.
It's part of there culture , there will be stories doing the rounds how they blagged there way to Paris and into the game, and how ot somehow fits into the kopite narrative of what makes a scouser.
