ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Some of the comments in here are ridiculous.

Take your blue-tinted specs off.

The people in charge are in charge of safely organising events. And Real Madrid fans were caught up in this too, because there was no clear organisation.

Two of my colleagues were there covering the match - both Man United fans, both can't stand Liverpool as much as I can't. They said it was horrific.
Liverpool fans kicked up a stink when their club tried to free them from the shackles of the evil UEFA and take them to a new european super-league.

Now the fans are saying UEFA are a shambles and cannot organise a pee up in a brewery.

They should have left UEFA when they had the chance no?

There is blame to be shared. The police were clearly over the top, but the evidence is that there were too many people in areas of the ground too.

I am surprised by the lack of security though to be honest. I was at both Paris stadiums in 2016 and the security operation was huge.
Of course, but ultimately it's on the organisers and the authorities to ensure any event goes down without such scenes, and without loads of people - whether Liverpool fans or locals, which has been well documented - being able to break onto the concourse without tickets.

Ultimately there wasn't evidence of trouble like this in Kyiv or Madrid.

What does this have to do with police and UEFA having 20,000 people walk through a 5-yard gap under a flyover?

There was 7000 plod on duty Mate . 40,000 ticketless reds probably overwhelmed them

As I said, there is blame to be shared. People shouldn't be trying to sneak in without a ticket, but the police should be controlling the situation too. Both can be to blame, it's not always clear cut.

Like anyone would misbehave in Kiev. Paris being so easy to get to made it easy for the ticketless knob jockeys to get to

Seriously can you not understand?
They could have left UEFA, therefore they would not be involved in UEFA competitions, therefore they would not be walking through a UEFA created five yard gap. ¿Me comprendes?

I don't think anyone is saying the organization wasn't terrible by UEFA.

Like already pointed out look how many events have been held there and without problems.
Its not about blue tinted specs mate its about it always being them involved! There is one common denominator when stuff like this happens! Yes Liverpool fans are never far away.

I don't suggest for one minute the police weren't out of order as I've seen the vids of kids getting pepper sprayed and its shocking but id guess there was a reason they were pepper spraying Liverpool fans and not Real Madrid fans.

Do they not learn their lesson from past events? After what happened all them years ago any Liverpool fan selling or buying blag tickets should be absolutely ashamed of themselves and I'm sure there was many that did.

Liverpool and Real both had the same ticket allocation and one set of fans got in on time with very little issues the other set of fans never, why?
