ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

City

Wolves (A)
Villa (H)

Liverpool

Southampton (A)
Wolves (H)

Wolves away might be a banana skin for City; I can see 2 or 3 banana skins there for Liverpool.

Will be annoying if one of us or United can’t kick a point off them

City should really fancy going the rest of the season perfect, there's no obvious banana skins left in their schedule. Guardiola just needs to avoid having his annual galaxy brain moment and keep his team tinkering to a minimal.

Would be absolutely amazing if we could dent the RS' title bid when we play them but we're Everton and we can't have nice things.

Absolutely.

Grealish has been practically useless.

If they go out and get Haaland in the summer the title will be locked up for the rest of the decade.
Haaland is getting a worrying knee issue, 3rd time out injured with the same knee, could miss remainder of the season.

And Haaland will not be there for a decade hahah, not with Mino (i want a Agent fee every 2-3 seasons) Raiola, All his clients have multiple moves every 2/3 seasons.

City's style will definitely change with Haaland, Beast of a striker but will be interesting how Pep adapts the possession style for a direct #9, Pep likes strikers that can drop off and link play, that's why he wanted Kane so badly.

Grealish was a bizarre transfer, don't know why they bought him.

IIIRC they bought a striker in January for next season.

I agree Grealish would not start in my starting 11 for city,

It’s not being wise after the event. But looking at the offensive wide players city had at the beginning of the season Silva, Sterling, mahrez, Foden. Torres They are all better players than Grealish who they paid 100m for. He wasn’t a signing they needed which most city fans agree with.

Seriously, how are they allowed to DO this? Are there dispensation transfer windows now? They did the same thing with St Virgil as well, announced his signing before Christmas. Even with their exalted status in the media and the FA, I just don't get how this can happen...
Clubs can sign players any time they want. What people commonly refer to as a transfer window is actually a registration window.

So although the clubs and player have exchanged contract, he can't be registered as a liverpool player until the "transfer window" opens.

Liverpool could have to play the other top 8 in their run in and I’d still fancy them. Today was the chance for city to snuff them out of the title race. Bad finishing, tight VAR calls and surprise surprise favouritism shown to the RS by the ref ensured they didn’t. Allan gets sent off for less against Newcastle then Fabinho’s challenge on Silva and Tiago should have gone as well.
Which is the Fabinho one, I don’t remember seeing it - might have been off to the kitchen for a beer.

Thiago could have gone 3 times.
