ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Lost their chance there today.

Dont fancy Liverpool's run in in comparison with City's.
Liverpool could have to play the other top 8 in their run in and I’d still fancy them. Today was the chance for city to snuff them out of the title race. Bad finishing, tight VAR calls and surprise surprise favouritism shown to the RS by the ref ensured they didn’t. Allan gets sent off for less against Newcastle then Fabinho’s challenge on Silva and Tiago should have gone as well.

City

Brighton (H)
Watford (H)
Leeds (A)
Newcastle (H)
WHU (A)
Wolves (A)
Villa (H)

Liverpool

United (H)
Everton (H)
Newcastle (A)
Spurs (H)
Villa (A)
Southampton (A)
Wolves (H)

Wolves away might be a banana skin for City; I can see 2 or 3 banana skins there for Liverpool.

If City had a proper striker that game ends 5 or 6 for City.

I look at the fixtures left and I see dangers for Liverpool, starting next week with United.

If RS get 6/6 points from Utd and us I think they have it sewn up. Every other side including Spurs will roll over for them imo.

How sweet would it be if we could nick a result against them.

No. Not for me. The derby is a gimme.

United can be a handful; I dont expect Gerrard to do Liverpool any favours - he's not called Stevie Me for nothing; Spurs under Conte: they are not a team to go and press; Newcastle are now difficult to face up there.

I think both City and Liverpool will drop points, but City have that point in hand and I dont see too many games to trouble them.

Do you say this because you expect a response from United? Or Ragnick to come up with something? Because what we saw from them yesterday was dross. We’ve honestly got a much better chance of doing something than United.

Whats frustrating is the RS have only this season and next at their peak imo.

Salah/Firmino/VVD/Mane/Henderson all approaching 30.

If City had just done their job in the summer and signed a goalscorer they wouldn't have had a sniff.
