Beyond all the 'European Royalty' and "United are our real arch rivals" bollocks, they utterly detest Everton (and are more preoccupied by Everton) than any other football club.

If Everton were relegated it'd be the highlight of their lives.

LFC would also see it as a bigger deal than winning another CL or title too. It'd hand them full spectrum dominance in the city.
