ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

I will be honest, I am a language nerd; not a grammar nazi.
But I honestly cannot find where you started with "perhaps".
I said it here:

"I think that's right. Perhaps in 2014, when they went on that great run that ended with Gerrard's slip, more people wanted them to win the league than not. All that has definitely gone now."

Anyway, we move on. KAGS ?

Now their assistant, who took charge of the game at the weekend, has tested positive, meaning if the EFL deny the request then the U23 boss will be in charge

Already a precedent for that set by murderpool - the u23 boss managed the side, when they had to play Punjab FC or whoever it was for the chance to become champions of de werrrrrrllllldddddd laaaaaaa.

If the EFL deny the request

???????

Agreed it's unlikely to be denied due to special dispensation fc, but I would like to see how the EFL justify approving the request, if murderpool FC have 2 keepers abs 14 total fit players, and when they normally play several of the u23s in the league cup anyway?

Purely anecdotal. No scientific method and I guess we'll never know for sure, but just from what I saw and heard, they were more popular in the 2014 run-in than they are now. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that it was their behaviour during the 2014 run-in that catalysed a lot of neutrals' change in perception.

Like I say, I could be wrong but my own feeling is that they are viewed less favourably now than they were 8 years ago.
IDK - people hate frauds, and that's a big reason for everyone hating them up and down the country for decades. Extremely weird, entitled fanbase obsessed with a team that was never truly good.
Klopp arrives and for the first time in 30 years they're actually good. God works in mysterious ways, though, and a global plague cancels football - they don't get to win the league, no one cares (did they get the real league trophy as a gesture? I don't actually know), and the team is now entering the cycle of decline.

I'd say the neutral would be more sympathetic to them now - but decades of being the Jehovah Witnesses of the league makes its mark I suppose.

It seems closing the training ground seem to be the way to go if you want your game postponed independently on the players available to play. This is how city get their game postponed with us last season.

Certainly would make me wonder why the Palace request to postpone the game at Tottenham on Boxing Day was refused if the RS application is approved. Some further transparency regarding the rules and their implementation required.

Should be made to play an academy team like Villa were. No one cares when it’s Villa though as they all just wanted Mane and Salah to bag loads against them.

Just seems very coincidental that Liverpool’s uncontrollable covid outbreak has happened at precisely the same moment they’re without Mane and Salah.
I think they forgot to put at the end of their rather exaggerated lengthy press release... "we shall also be requesting a "panel note" from The Premier League locum (season ticket holder ) signing us off on the sick until the Afcon ends/Chelsea lose points"
