ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

The fact the song was sung up and down the country by everyone after for about 2 seasons flat suggests otherwise.
Nah, that means little. That's football fans just doing what football fans do.

Don't get me wrong, a lot of people didn't want them to win it in 2014, but that number has definitely gone up since that time.

No shame from them at all, there wasn’t a problem with Villa playing kids against them in the FA Cup last season, or the season before that when Villa gubbed their kids in this very competition because they just had to play in the World Club Cup but suddenly cos they have 4 keepers out and 2/3s of their forward line at the AFCON they are trying to weasel out

Can I ask what you base your opinion on when you said you think that more people wanted them to win it than not?

Purely anecdotal. No scientific method and I guess we'll never know for sure, but just from what I saw and heard, they were more popular in the 2014 run-in than they are now. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that it was their behaviour during the 2014 run-in that catalysed a lot of neutrals' change in perception.

Like I say, I could be wrong but my own feeling is that they are viewed less favourably now than they were 8 years ago.

Underdogs, apparently.

Trying to link arms with Chelsea is unreal.

These people need help
So ruddy bloody brave.

City spend all this money while they hunt around for free transfer bargains like Alisson, Van Dijk, Keita and about 8 others that cost £30m plus.

Chelsea not exactly the best example to use when it comes to spending power either.

Yeah well there you might be right, and I appreciate your response.

However what you are saying now is quite a bit different from what you were saying before - that back in 2014 there were more people wanting them to win it than not; which would be a very bizarre metric to try and gauge would it not?
