He's a kopite - the mask has slipped on a number of occasions. It’s not attributed to his post at all, it’s every post you make. If I’m wrong I apologise.. but that’s my opinion.

Irresponsible actions shouldn't be forgotten either in the correct assignment of the majority of blame.Yep & while I see your point, ultimately the blood is on the hands of that absolute spoofer, who was running around that week saying everything is fine & shaking hands with people in hospitals.
I dont disagree there should have been more action from Liverpool, but all anger needs to be focused on the tories, their ability to divert & distract is frightening.

im suprised you havent mentioned jordan pickford there lolThe government are the blame here, they should have stopped it & made the call, which obviously in hindsight was Bananas. I'm all for blame on this one & there is literally blood on hands, but that blame lies at the hands of Boris and co who wanted to down play everything at the time. Their inaction led to the excess deaths of thousands.
One scary thing to remember about that week is as of the Friday morning, the weekend PL fixtures were going ahead until Arteta had contracted the virus from the greek team.
Sorry mate UEFA can’t be absolved of any blame that easy, they knew the situation, they knew what was happening in Madrid they are a massive organisation with access to all the information they needed to cancel that game same with Cheltenham. It’s true the government should’ve stepped in and done something, but UEFA can’t be let of the hook that ease.Governments inaction to blame, not UEFA, them or the horseracing authority.
Its not a decision on a global pandemic, its a decision on the safety of their fans, players and city. IIRC Everton did just that a few days later.
Didn’t Everton send all the training staff home from FF earlier in the week over fears about the virus could be wrong but there’s something in the fogs of my brain seems to remember this.I dont believe you do, from memory; arteta contracted covid on the Thursday night & the PL announced the fixtures abandoned late on the friday afternoon, I dont think any club made an independant decision

I’m waiting for the @kieran momentEvery post you make is a thinly veined defence of them ... I just find it oddly strange
There is no apology whatsoever there - every question raised in Nikom's excellent post should be answered; but no decision on a global pandemic should have been left to a football club. Governments inaction to blame, not UEFA, them or the horseracing authority.

Not to mention LFC fans now blaming everybody else.
Obviously they were just making sure that they had enough to avoid having to use the furlough scheme.C'mon fella, the club could have put a complaint in beforehand, they knew the score, everyone did. But no, they were quite happy to have the advantage of fans, for one of those" great nights at Anfield", you know the ones, where the crowd suck the goals in. On the other hand, just maybe the crowd revenue, was just a bit too much to turn down, profit over people was the Liverpool answer.
