Going back to a year ago when he was desperate to get the season restarted for some reason I can't put my finger on.Every post you make is a thinly veined defence of them ... I just find it oddly strange
I’m glad I’m not the only one who’s noticed. Although I think there’s a few onto him by nowEvery post you make is a thinly veined defence of them ... I just find it oddly strange
they were just on the BBC now talking about 'with Hindsight, its shouldn't have gone ahead', no hindsight needed mate, all the evidence was there and as you mention, people took a gamble and a risk in going for one of dem magicul nights. If you look in the vaults here there were probably many posts saying it shouldn't have gone ahead. His wife and son have just been on the radio bemoaning his loss and the lack of a proper planned funeral to say goodbye to him. His son, who went the game with him, is now a 'Covid-19 Bereaved Families for Justice' member, obviously an intellegent lad, but not so savy as to say, "You know what dad, lets give this a game a miss, Madrid is right bang center in the middle of this epidemic. Its not worth taking the risk. Its been all over the news for the last week its not like nobody knows about the danger this game poses, lets just sit in and watch it on the telly."
As is Joel Rookwood, a massive genius and Liverpoo' fan and a senior lecturer in sport business, management and devlopment at the University of Central Lancashire, another clue merchant who also caught Covid at the same match and became seriously ill. He later said, "The decision to have the match and to allow fans to be present should have been taken out of peoples hands."
But then he also said, "The mistake a lot of us made was having 'one more match/night out/trip etc... before a lockdown. We knew what was coming, but a lot of us took the risk." (A Univesity lecturer remember)
The local and national media at the time of the game and weeks before was absolutely full off widespread coverage of the deteriorating situation in Madrid. The Echo, Radio Merseyside, City and even Talksport had raised major questions about the playing of the game and the travelling fans potentially spreading Covid in the locale.
For anybody to say they went to that game not understanding the risks is worthy of a Darwin award, but no doubt 'Deflection FC' will have us all believe nobody knew the risks and will attempt to rewrite history yet again.
`Exactly this, When Everton took the step of calling the game off, there were a few dissenting voices initially of gamesmanship etc, they were soon piped down and it turned out once again Everton made the correct decision, Big Red thought of itself. Its not a decision on a global pandemic, its a decision on the safety of their fans, players and city. IIRC Everton did just that a few days later.
he went on to ignore beards ago mateI’m glad I’m not the only one who’s noticed. Although I think there’s a few onto him by now
“They put warnings on Ciggies and Ale, why not Footy tickets ?”"The government didn't stop us from putting our hand in the fire so we thought it was OK"
How did he get caught, I do remember some of it, that moment was almost a memorable on here as when somebody claimed that Lukaku should starve himself in the summer and only eat belvita biscuits to improve his form.I’m waiting for the @kieran moment
It’ll come , just a matter when
Do you get the go ahead from Boris before you go out shopping? Sounds like you should.absolute nonsense - every question raised in Nikom's excellent post should be answered; but no decision on a global pandemic should have been left to a football club. Governments inaction to blame, not UEFA, them or the horseracing authority.
To be honest though, looking at their skanky arsewit fan base I'd be screaming that at every single game.Wasnt Klopp shouting at fans not to touch him, or shake hands, before the match even started?
